Red Cross offers Web site to communicate with friends and family displaced by fire

The American Red Cross is currently responding to the wildfires burning in Southern California. The Sacramento Sierra Chapter has deployed two emergency communications response vehicles to assist in the relief effort.

Disaster relief volunteers are on standby for deployment.

The Sacramento Sierra Chapter is encouraging those people who would like to know more about the whereabouts of their loved ones in the affected areas to log on to for more information.

Concerned family and friends can search the list of those who have registered themselves as “safe and well.” The results of a successful search will display a loved one’s First Name, Last Name, an “As of Date”, and the “safe and well” messages selected.
