Fitting in with Friday night’s Slightly Stoopid performance at Harveys Outdoor Arena is Saturday’s gig at Whiskey Dick’s Saloon featuring Huntington Beach-based Special Blend.

“Difficult to define, yet instantly recognizable as a one-of-a-kind fusion of reggae, rock, hip-hop and more, these SoCal skaters have found a way to create their own genre of musical greatness: a truly Special Blend of Cali’s finest vibes,” states the band’s online biography.

The five-member ensemble will take the stage at the South Shore venue at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, making it a nice follow-up for those who attend the loaded reggae show in Stateline (which, in addition to Slightly Stoopid, features Iration, J Boog and The Movement).

Reggae rockers Special Blend dropped the album “Pipeline” in July 2016. The record is known for the title track, along with “Under the Sun” and “Mountaintop.”

If you’re someone looking for a laid-back vibe, this is your stop. According to the group’s Facebook page, they love skating, surfing, cars, sports and music, adding “That’s it, right?”

“Special Blend consists of Mighty (vocals/DJ), Yuck (bass), Tanner (guitar), Wolfy (drums) and B.O.N.E. (vocals, percussion),” continues the bio.

Special Blend’s South Shore concert is free to attend, and Whiskey Dick’s Saloon will offer Tahoe Blue Vodka drink specials throughout the evening.

The venue is located at 2660 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Learn more online at http://www.facebook.com/whiskeydickstahoe, and interact with the band on Facebook (@thespecialblend).
