Relay for Life teams set to meet tonight

Provided to the Tribune

South Lake Tahoe “Relay for Life” volunteers continue to form teams and raise money to fight cancer as they prepare for their first relay.

The American Cancer Society’s signature event that honors cancer survivors and remembers those who have lost their battle will be held July 22 and 23 at Kahle Community Park.

The next RFL team captain meeting will begin at 7 tonight at Kahle Park. All team captains, and especially newly formed teams and their captains are encouraged to attend this informational meeting.

There will also be a RFL committee meeting at 6 p.m. the same night.

Anyone interested in learning more about Relay for Life or forming a team is invited. Now is the time for individuals, families, and small businesses to build a team and join our fight to reduce the burden of cancer across America.

For more information contact Judi Sparrow at (775) 586-1066 or judisparrow@charter.net. There is no finish line until we find a cure.
