ReMax returns to the South Shore
The mantra the realty industry abides by for its customers – location, location, location – also holds true for the industry itself, especially at the lake.
And when a realty company happens to be branded by the industry as the most successful and largest in the world, location for it becomes even more important.
Opened for a month, the response has been overwhelming according to owners of the new ReMax Tahoe Realty Today office at Tahoe Keys Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe.
Location and brand name has had a lot to do with it. It is the first time in more than 10 years that ReMax has been active on the South Shore.
Owners Jess and Tony Barchetti and Mark Heckert opened the new office on Feb. 18 over the President’s Day weekend with fanfare and high hopes. So far they haven’t been disappointed.
“Our location is one part, the other is we’re excited to bring ReMax, the number one selling reality company in the world, to Tahoe. It has sorely been lacking in this town,” Tony Barchetti said.
When the franchise name became available, it was the Barchettis and Heckert, all veteran South Shore real estate agents, who jumped on it.
“With the changes it has seen, Tahoe now has a real international flavor to it; along the lines of what has happened at Vail is now happening at Tahoe and Heavenly,” Tony said.
“Here we are seeing people from Europe, France and Australia investing in real estate, and ReMax is the only realty company in the United States that is also in Europe, France and Australia,” he said. “Having that brand-recognition connection has already brought us a spike in business.”
ReMax is located at 2230 Lake Tahoe Blvd., right by Tahoe Keys Blvd. It is open daily, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The phone number is (530) 541-0200.
The owners fully remodeled the old Pfaltzgraf building on the inside. The building includes two conference rooms, four large private offices, and 10 offices for its 10 agents. The new building is also the home of AA All Financial.
The agents at the location include: Lelaine Urban, Shirley Bruton, Chuck Day, Susan Heydarian, Robert McGuire, Jacke Crump, Cheryl Murakami, Jeff Hoag, Christine Smith and Ken Garber.
Jesse, Tony, and Mark are opening their second location on Kingsbury Grade in May or June. Right now the office is at 298 Kingsbury Grade in Stateline, (775) 588-0700.
