Nevada-based rockers Moondog Matinee are set to take the stage on Tahoe’s North Shore this weekend.
“With a rock & soul sound as derivative, yet undeniably authentic, the chaotic grace that exudes from their live performance will haunt you for years to come,” states the band’s online biography.
Moondog Matinee formed in Reno in 2010 and released the debut album “Vacancy at the Wonder Lodge” in 2011.
“By that summer, they were touring the West Coast and gaining recognition as a must-see live act by both recurring and new fans alike,” states a Moondog Matinee press release.
Two years later, the band was invited to perform at the inaugural Life is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas. Success didn’t stop there.
“In 2015 their song ‘Last Night The Devil Learned My Name’ was featured on the nationally syndicated television show ‘Sleepy Hollow’ on Fox,” continues the press release.
Don’t miss your chance to see one of Reno’s newest up-and-coming acts.
Moondog Matinee performs at Crystal Bay Casino on Friday, Sept. 29, at 10 p.m. The gig is free to attend and is held in the venue’s Red Room.
Crystal Bay Casino is located at 14 NV 28.
