Repaving project shuts down Indian Creek Reservoir’s accessories

As many may know, the campground at Indian Creek Reservoir has been closed along with the launch ramp and day-use area due to repaving.

This, my friends, is not a simple resurfacing job. They have removed the pavement entirely from the entrance of the campground all the way to the R.V. camping area. In talking to Fran, a representative from the Bureau of Land Management, last Monday, the campground will not be open this weekend.

I will check back with her on Wednesday for an update on the reopening date. I will include this in my fishing report next week.

As for the fishing, the lake is open for use on the east side of the lake by the dam area. You can enter via Diamond Valley Road or from Highway 89 using Airport Road. An alternative camping area is Turtle Rock Campground on the west side of Highway 89. Until next week, good fishin’ and tight lines.
