Nevada Attorney General George Chanos speaks at the Douglas County Republican Central Committee annual Lincoln Day Dinner in Minden.

The Douglas County Republican Central Committee held its annual Lincoln Day Dinner Feb. 12 at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden.

This year’s dinner happened to coincide with President Lincoln’s birthday which made the evening even more special.

The event was a sellout with more than 170 people in attendance. Chairman of the DCRCC, Robin Reedy, said that proceeds from the event are still being tabulated, but more than $10,000 was raised. She thanked so many of the participants responsible for making the evening such a success. In particular, she recognized William Furs of Reno, which for many years has donated so many beautiful furs and accessories for the silent auction.
