Respiratory therapist to speak to Better Breathers

Better Breathers will meet at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 15 at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Jan Peacock, a respiratory therapist at Barton Memorial Hospital, will present the featured topic, “Energy Saving, Exercise and COPD.” She will share information on the effects and treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Energy conservation, breathing patterns and breathing exercises and self-help techniques to improve quality of life will be discussed.

Better Breathers is a local support group formed to help patients, friends and family members, learn more about breathing and how to maximize their health. The support group is free and always open to the public.
