Services will take place Wednesday for Rob Hood of North Las Vegas, Nev., who passed away May 4, 2006, as a result of an automobile accident.

Rob was born March 14, 2006, in Sacramento, Calif., to Leslie and Irene Hood. He attended school in Sacramento and graduated from high school in Washington, where his family had settled. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Rob was employed in the games department at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe for 20 years, during which time he met and married Ann Hurlburt. He transferred to Harrah’s Atlantic City and then returned to Las Vegas, where he worked for 16 years.

Rob was a devoted husband and father. He was a passionate golfer and sports enthusiast all his life and took an active and joyful role in the sports activities of his boys.

He is survived by his wife, Ann, of North Las Vegas; sons, Tyler and Alex of Reno, Nev.; mother, Irene of Kelso, Wash.; brothers, Bill of Kelso, Rick of Lebanon, Ore., and Randy of Galt, Calif.; and sister, Beverlee Hood of Kelso.

A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, both at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Donations in Rob’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
