Rork achieves doctor of philosophy from Rutgers

Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, has announced that the degree of doctor of philosophy was conferred on Tyler H. Rork on May 17.

Rork, son of Paul and Cookie Rork of South Lake Tahoe, is a 1976 graduate of South Tahoe High School. He attended Lake Tahoe Community College and Rutgers College of Rutgers University, where he received his bachelor of science degree in 2002. His doctorial studies were in physiology and integrative biology and his research is in the area of cardiac physiology.

Rork has accepted a position with the Robert M. Berne Cardiovascular Research Center at the University of Virginia in Charlotteville.
