The deadline for entering the Rotary Club of South Lake Tahoe annual car sweepstakes is Wednesday, at which time 25 finalists will be drawn at random from a maximum of 1,500 tickets sold.

At the April 28 Rotary meeting each finalist will choose a key, but only one key will unlock the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD. The lucky key holder will choose between the new Jeep and a cash prize of $25,000. The annual car giveaway is Rotary’s major fund-raiser, which makes possible the club’s high school scholarships and community service projects.

Tickets are $50 each and are available at Shehadi Motors, Bank of America, Al’s Chevron and from any Rotarian. For more information see the club’s Web site at
