Rotary funds benches

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – From left, Joe Tillson, president of the Tahoe Heritage Foundation; Jean Norman, Taylor Creek Visitor Center manager of the U.S. Forest Service’s Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit; and Roger Pratt, president of the South Tahoe Rotary, gather by a bench.

The South Tahoe Rotary donated $2,400 to the U.S. Forest Service’s nonprofit Tahoe Heritage Foundation. This money will be used to purchase six hand-crafted benches made by Tahoe local Doug Read to be placed along the Kiva Beach corridor and along the Lake of the Sky Trail. The benches will have an animal carved into the back support.
