Rotary to host annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
The Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club will host its 46th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration on March 14 at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe
The event serves as a fundraiser for community organizations. The Rotarians donate thousands of dollars annually to scholarships and school enhancements as well as countless projects including bus shelters, parks, trails, scoreboards, informative kiosks, a press release stated. Many South Shore nonprofits have benefited from money raised during the evening, including Tahoe Youth & Family Services, Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe, Live Violence Free, Drug Store Project, Reel Recovery, Lake Tahoe Shining Stars and Tahoe Arts Project.
The event will include unlimited wine and beer, an Irish buffet, a silent auction, a raffle of a trip to Hawaii with $1,000 spending money as well as a wheelbarrow full of wine. The event will be held from 6-10 p.m. Tickets cost $65 per person and can be purchased from any Rotarian or by visiting http://www.tdrotary.com.
