Rotary’s Messmer tourney at Lake Tahoe on June 6

South Lake Tahoe Rotary will present the fourth Jim Messmer Memorial Scholarship Golf “fun-raiser” June 6. The event will begin at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start at Lake Tahoe Golf Course.

The cost is an $80 donation to South Lake Tahoe Rotary, which includes golf, cart, range balls, tee prizes, raffle and dinner of steak or chicken. Contests include closest-to-the-hole and longest drive. Two closest-to-the-hole buy-ins will win 1/2 of the pot.

Participants may choose a format of four-person, two best ball or four-person scramble. Golfers must have GHIN number and handicap to play in best ball. The June 1, 2001 index will be used.

First-place winner will receive four rounds of golf at Edgewood Tahoe or Genoa Lakes. Best ball winners will have a choice.

To register and for more information call Dave Huber at (530) 544-1440 or Tom Toreno at (530) 577-4484.
