Round Hill accident puts woman in hospital

A South Lake Tahoe woman was in serious but stable condition Wednesday night after a truck collided with her vehicle at 10:40 that morning in Round Hill.

Rescue personnel had to extricate Lilia Nilsen, 34, from her vehicle using the Jaws of Life. She was transported via Care Flight to Washoe Medical Center in Reno.

She was turning left from Elks Point Road on to U.S. Highway 50 when a truck on the highway reportedly ran a red light, colliding with the driver’s side of her vehicle.

The driver of the truck, 28-year-old Kevin Lane of Zephyr Cove, was not injured.

He was cited for disobeying the traffic signal, according to authorities.
