Runyon, Matzinger wed at Lake Tahoe

Rachel Runyon and Daniel Matzinger were married July 29 at the North Tahoe Conference Center in Kings Beach. The double-ring ceremony was performed by family friend, pastor Mike Shreve.

The bride is the daughter of Dave and Carol Runyon of Concord, Calif., and the bridegroom is the son of Marshall and Linda Matzinger of South Lake Tahoe.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an A-line silk and taffeta dress with crystals as accents and a crystal tiara. She carried a bouquet of white roses and crystals.

Maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Courtney Runyon of Concord, who wore an azalea-pink dress. Bridesmaids were Stacey Quintero, Katie Thatcher and Triana Luce and flower girl was Jean Thatcher. The bridesmaids and flower girl all wore black dresses.

The bridegroom’s brothers, Adam Matzinger and Alex Matzinger, both of South Lake Tahoe, served as best men. Groomsmen were Clayton Quintero, Brandon Runyon and Josh McCauley.

The wedding was followed immediately by a reception at the North Shore Conference Center. After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the Matzingers made their home in Folsom,.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Concord High School and a 2006 graduate of California State University, Sacramento. She is working on obtaining her teaching credential.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of South Tahoe High School and a 2003 graduate of California State University, Sacramento. He is an auditor with Deloitte and Touche in Sacramento.
