Rock, reggae, hip-hop and dub will fill Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe’s Vinyl music venue this week.

Sacramento’s Simple Creation, which formed in 2008, will play a free show at the Stateline club this Wednesday, April 20.

“The band has quickly become one of Northern California’s premier reggae and reggae cover bands featuring over four hours of songs by the likes of Bob Marley, Sublime, UB40, Gregory Issacs and many more,” according to the band’s online biography. “(Simple Creation) brings a solid foundation of reggae blended with touches of roots and dub. The guys have had the chance to share the stage with some of reggae music’s biggest stars including the Green, Inner Circle, Katchafire, J. Boog, Israel Vibration, Tribal Seeds and Don Carlos.”

Simple Creation released their debut CD, “The Prescription,” in August 2011 and released an EP, “Blue Dream,” in October 2012. The band plans to release their second full-length album, “Reign on the Mountain Top,” this spring, according to the group’s website.

The group recently played shows dedicated to a “Month of Marley.”

Doors open to Wednesday’s show at 8:30 p.m., and music starts at 9 p.m.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe is located at 50 U.S. Highway 50 in Stateline.
