Up for a nice weekend drive? Coriander, fennel and mole are just a few of the unique flavors you will discover this weekend at Holly’s Hill Vineyards located in Placerville, an approximate one-hour drive from South Shore.

Located in the Sierra Foothills in El Dorado County and Pleasant Valley, Holly’s Hill Vineyards specializes in producing Rhone varietal wines. On Saturday and Sunday, the vineyard is hosting a salami and wine pairing event that’s a great way to spend an autumn afternoon.

Dedrick’s Main Street Cheese will be at Holly’s Hill sampling seven varieties of salami all paired with wines. Salami from Seattle’s Salumi Artisan Cured Meats will be available for purchase, so plan to picnic!

Bistro seating and picnic tables are available with wonderful views overlooking the Cosumnes River valleys. Come delight your senses, buy some salami to add to your lunch, take home as a treat for later or as an easy appetizer for dinner with friends.

Wine specials will also be offered.

The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. It is free to attend for club members. All others are $10 per person.

Holly’s Hill Vineyards is located at 3680 Leisure Lane in Placerville.
