Sale happens at Skate-a-thon

Due to the success of the recent Santa Paws benefit gift store, unique items will be available for sale at the Dec. 15 skate-a-thon benefit for the Lake Tahoe Humane Society and S.P.C.A. The event will take place from 12:30 to 5 p.m. at the South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena.

In addition to healthy fun skaters and spectators will find special glazed sugar pine cone decorator items, Samantha and Kirby tote bags and notepads and the video, “The Dogs Who Saved Christmas Day.” Santa Claus, along with Tahoe dog star Daisey and story-songwriter Dan Slater, will make appearances.

The event is the final one in a year-long 35th anniversary of service celebration for the 100 percent donation-supported nonprofit organization.
