Sale is fund-raiser for cancer patient

A parking lot sale has been scheduled for Saturday to benefit Julie Schroeder, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

The sale will begin at 8 a.m. and continue until all items are sold at the American Legion Post 795 parking lot, 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd. The American Legion has donated the space for the sale and Nel’s Hardware has donated the tables.

Last week a benefit for Schroeder was conducted at the Rockwater Bar and Grill. Organizers said that due to the success of the fund-raiser, they will be able to send Schroeder and her children to Disneyland.

However, she isn’t able to work much anymore and still has bills to pay. It is hoped the parking lot sale will bring in more funds to help her out.

Anyone who would like to donate any good-to-sell items may leave a message for Patti Acri at (530) 577-258 and she will return all calls in the evening.

Arrangements can be made for Acri to pick up the items or they can be delivered to her or brought to the sale.
