Sally Meyer Temen

A celebration of life will take place Sunday for Sally Meyer Temen, who died Oct. 20, 2007, at her home in Reno, Nev., with her loved ones by her side.

Mrs. Temen led a fascinating life growing up as an Army brat and serving in the Foreign Service.

She lived in South Lake Tahoe for 22 years, where she raised her daughters. She moved to Reno in 1992. She was an avid gardener and loved traveling, the music of Django Reinhardt and, above all, her family.

Her thoughtfulness and beautiful blue eyes will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Christina Temen of Falls Church, Va., and Laura Conrow of Gardnerville, Nev.; grandchildren, James and Allaire Durham and Lexie Conrow; stepsons and wives, Gene and Jeni Temen and Mark and Joan Temen; nephew and wife, Rob and Barbara Thompson; and niece, Terry Morris.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Katherine and Harold Meyer; and sister, Jane Thompson.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life at noon Oct. 28 at Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno. She will be buried at Happy Homestead Cemetery at South Lake Tahoe.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Whidbey Island Center for the Arts Djangofest, P.O. Box 52, Langley, WA 98260.
