With salmon runs beginning at Lake Tahoe and around the world, now is a great time to look at “Where Are the Salmon Going?”

This clever children’s book, both written and illustrated by Mary Gessel, follows the life cycle of salmon from their return to their places of birth to their offspring becoming adult salmon in their own turn.

Author, artist, teacher and coach Gessel has created a simple book, with delightful, colorful illustrations that will please readers of all ages. The paperback book is a perfect size for small hands to hold and flip through the pages of drawings and larger, easy-to-read print.

This event will provide an opportunity for young children to attend a booksigning especially for them. They will meet and talk with the author and come away with their very own book.
