Santiago, Pierson ahead in absentee and handful of precinct votes

With absentee ballots cast and three of 19 precincts reporting in the El Dorado County Fifth District Tahoe Supervisor race, incumbent Norma Santiago has 1,606 votes, or 73.27 percent to Ted Long’s 567 votes or 25.87 percent.

In the race for El Dorado County District Attorney, absentee ballots show and 6 of 122 precincts show Vern Pierson has 11,223 votes or 60.84 percent to incumbent Gary Lacy’s 7,177 votes, or 38.91 percent.
