School district to offer free meals for children this summer

The Lake Tahoe Unified School District Food Department will offer free breakfast and lunch for children Monday through Friday from June 28 to Aug. 13 at Bijou Community School, 3501 Spruce Ave.

The meal site will be closed July 2 and July 5.

Breakfast will be served from 7:45-8:30 p.m. Lunch will be from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The program is open to all South Lake Tahoe youth age 18 and under.
