The Tahoe Montessori School parents organization recently installed new playground equipment at the school, 848 Glorene Ave.

The private, nonprofit school, founded in 1977, offers educational programs as well as child care to preschoolers through fifth-graders. Tahoe Montessori School provides an individualized approach to education by allowing each student to progress at his or her own pace, with small classes and a low teacher-student ratio of 1-to-10. Students develop confidence in their skills and a love of learning.

Only a few spaces remain as the school approaches its 28th year. Families interested in visiting or enrolling in the school may do so by calling (530) 544-1818 or dropping by the school.
