Scoping meeting for Barton Hospital will be held May 14
STATELINE, Nev. – The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) Advisory Planning Commission will be holding a scoping meeting on May 14 for the Barton Hospital project, which recently had its environmental review level raised to an environmental impact statement.
The Barton Hospital project had its environmental review level raised to the highest possible level in early April, following demands from the community to have more stringent environmental considerations.
The environmental impact statement will assess whether the proposed project meets regional environmental standards set by the TRPA and will measure the potential immediate and cumulative impacts on water quality, traffic, scenic views, forest health, and other areas of concern.
The TRPA indicated in their email to those on the Barton Hospital project mailing list that the scoping comment previously submitted during the environmental assessment process will be carried over and do not need to be resubmitted.
The public scoping meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 14 at the TRPA board rooms in Stateline, Nev. Further meeting information will be available by May 7 on the TRPA meeting materials page.
Scoping comments can be mailed to the TRPA office or emailed to BartonProject@trpa.gov. The deadline to submit comments is June 6, 2025.
