The Big Ol’ Fishing Derby invites anglers from all over to cast out their lines Saturday and Sunday at Camp Richardson Resort.

The best fishing holes can be sought off private boats or off the watercraft of professional guides. Many head over to Meeks Bay, Stateline Point and Rubicon Point.

Sugar Pine Point boasts the record catch at Lake Tahoe in 1977, weighing in at nearly 38 pounds.

The judging and awards ceremonies will take place at the marina.

A $1,000 prize will be awarded for the largest Mackinaw caught.

Entry into the contest is free. Registration can be made in person at Camp Richardson or by calling 800-544-1801.
