Security guard pushed

While trying to pull his 41-year-old friend from the grasps of a Lakeside Inn and Casino security guard, a 44-year-old South Lake Tahoe man reportedly pushed another security guard into a window, a Douglas County sheriff’s deputy said.

The incident, which occurred early Sunday morning, started when security asked the two men to leave the establishment numerous times, the deputy said.

Both men were arrested on trespassing charges, while the 44-year-old had an additional battery charge.

n A 31-year-old Winters man reported his $4,500 white metal and clear stone-crusted ring stolen from a nightstand at Harveys Resort and Casino on Tuesday, a Douglas County sheriff’s deputy said.



n A 41-year-old Port St. Lucie, Fla., woman reported one suitcase stolen while being dropped off at Horizon Casino Resort from an airport bus on Dec. 12, a Douglas County sheriff’s deputy said.

More than $2,000 in items were in the black suitcase including leather jackets, ski boots and clothing.

n A snow plow nudged into a Toyota 4-Runner while the two were traveling in opposite directions on the corner of Glenwood Way and Rancho Circle, a South Lake Tahoe police officer said.

The snow plow reported no damage while the 4-Runner had minor damage to its left rear after the Wednesday accident, police said.
