Senior Center has Saturday Bingo

Everyone over the age of 18 is invited to the only on-going bingo game in town every Saturday night at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Early-bird warm-up games, with possible winnings of $25 and up depending on participation, start at 5:30 p.m. Regular play packs with a minimum of a $10 buy-in enable one to play 17 games with possible winnings up to $250. Players receive a free door-prize ticket with each play pack purchased. Bonus enticements are “good neighbor” games in which a person on either side of the winner also receives part of the winnings.

In addition to the fun of playing, there are refreshments and door prizes, which include free meals, gift certificates, bingo supplies, etc., all donated by local businesses.

Net proceeds from this non-profit fund-raising activity go to the building trust fund for the center operated by Senior Citizens, Inc. The trust provides improvements to the Senior Center such as air-conditioning, tables and chairs. The southwest wing of the center, which provides meeting and activity facilities for many organizations, was built with the help of these funds along with private donations and grants.

For information, call the Senior Center at (530) 542-6094 or Chuck White at (530) 577-5807.
