Senior center seeking crafters

Tahoe Daily Tribune

Members of the Tahoe-Douglas Senior Center auxiliary and craft group are seeking people to make crafts to be sold to benefit the center’s philanthropic donations. The crafters meet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Tuesday at the center, 885 Highway 50 at Warrior Way in Zephyr Cove.

At the February meeting the members voted to become a Friend of the Western Nevada Community College performing arts and donated $50 to the organization. Other donations from proceeds of the sale of crafts include $100 each to Special Olympics, South Lake Tahoe Branch of the El Dorado County Library, Lake Tahoe Branch of the Douglas County Library, Kahle Community Park, O.P.E.N., South Lake Tahoe Cancer League and the TRIAD program as well as $300 to Camp Sundowner.

For more information call Kay Fong, Tahoe Douglas Senior Center president, at (775) 588-5794.
