Senior center to host potluck

Provided to the Tribune

South Lake Tahoe Senior Center will host a potluck with a slideshow about South America on Friday.

South America was chosen as the topic because that is where the current pope is from, a press release stated. Victor Beelik has traveled with his wife, Liz, for 40 years to different parts of the world. Victor has used his talents to record their trips using his camera. There will also be appropriate background music during the slideshow. Food will also be available at the event.

The potluck will begin at 5:30 p.m. Guests are asked to bring their own plate, utensils and either a salad, side dish, fruit or dessert for six to eight people. Meatloaf, potatoes and vegetables will be prepared by Sandra Stephens. Those who plan to attend are asked to call Sandra at 530-542-2034 to discuss what to bring so there can be a variety of dishes.

The program will start at 6:30 p.m.

The senior center is located at 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. For more information about the program, call Arline at 530-545-1277.
