Seniors can shuttle to Thursday event

The El Dorado County Commission on Aging will present The Many Faces of Aging at 11 a.m. May 24 at Cameron Park Lake, 2989 Cambridge Road, Cameron Park, Calif. The commission will honor seniors with lunch, special guests, dignitaries, clowns, prizes and award ceremonies for the outstanding senior volunteers in the year 2000.

The Sacramento Banjo Band and the Golden Girls from Foothills Dance Studio will provide music and entertainment. The El Dorado Rose, her court and past Roses and their courts will be present for the celebration. Suggested donation is $2 for adults 60 years and older and $3.25 for other guests.

Bus rides to the event will be provided free of charge. Meet at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd., by 8:45 a.m. Buses will leave at 9 a.m.
