Seniors seeking snow shovelers

The South Lake Tahoe Senior Center is getting numerous calls from seniors who are unable to remove snow from their walkways and driveways. Most of the calls the senior center receives are from seniors who can’t afford to pay someone to do snow removal for them.

“If you have an elderly neighbor, knock on their door and see if they need help with their snow removal,” said John Collins, South Lake Tahoe recreation supervisor. “During big snowstorms like the one we just experiences, many seniors are unable to keep up with snow removal and need your help. Look around your neighborhood and see if one of your neighbors needs help — then give them a hand.
