Settelmeyer, McDermid, EnEarl leading Douglas races with 10 precints reporting
With 10 precincts counted, Assembly District 39 candidate James Settelmeyer widened his lead over Barbara Smallwood to be the Republican nominee.
Settelmeyer had 2,849 votes to Smallwood’s 906 and Rick Gardner’s 824. John E. Dicks received 159 votes.
Republican county commissioner candidate Nancy McDermid continues to lead challenger Janet Murphy 2,664 votes to 1,726.
Public Administrator Lynn EnEarl is also far ahead of challenger Jay Lather. EnEarl has received 3,077 votes to Lather’s 1,329.
The 10 precincts bring the total turnout to 26.16 percent so far.
