Sheriff’s Department to hold open house

Sheriff Ron Pierini invites community members to visit with the men and women of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) on May 6, from 5 to 7 p.m., when the DCSO Main Station will be open to the public.

The event will give citizens an opportunity to tour the station, including a guided tour of the jail . The DCSO will also have numerous demonstrations and displays appropriate for families. Citizens will have an opportunity to view specialized equipment used by DCSO.

Many volunteer organizations that support the DCSO will also be present with equipment and information.



The event will begin with the presentation of the colors (flag ceremony) by the DCSO Honor Guard at 5:15 p.m.

Hot dogs, chips and refreshments will be provided. The Main DCSO Station is located at 1038 Buckeye Road in Minden, Nev.
