Sierra Club meeting to feature Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care

The Tahoe Area Sierra Club will feature a presentation by Tom and Cheryl Millham of Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care Inc. at a community outreach meeting.

The Tahoe Area Sierra Club will host Tom and Cheryl Millham of Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care Inc. (LTWC) at the its next community outreach meeting on Jan. 29.

LTWC raises, rehabilitates and releases orphaned and injured wildlife. Last year was a busy for the center with a record number of bear cubs left in their care, including badly burned bear Cinder from Washington State. The Millhams will be sharing stories and photos of the bears, bobcats, and many of the other wildlife animals they have nursed back to health. They will also be providing an update on the new Wildlife Center planned for South Lake Tahoe. The event takes place at 7 p.m. at Unity at the Lake Center located at 1195 Rufus Allen Blvd. in South Lake Tahoe. Everyone isI welcome. It is not necessary to be a member.
