Sierra House Weather Kids appear on radio

The Sierra House Weather Kids are featured each school morning on KOWL and KRLT radio.

Twenty years ago the Sierra House Weather Kids re-entered the local air waves. They have since survived rain, snow, sleet and hail.

This year, 14 fifth-graders graduated from Dr. Jon Helman’s weather boot camp. These exceptional students learned about Earth’s atmosphere, the Sun, air pressure, winds, clouds, precipitation and forecasting. They will be featured each school morning on the David Allan show at 8:15 a.m. on KOWL 1490 AM, and the Howie Nave show at 8:20 a.m. on KRLT 93.9 FM. So, if you really want to know the hometown weather scoop and hear fifth-grade humor or trivia, tune in.

The Weather Kids are Anna Rigsby, Morgan Petragallo, Christopher Wilson, Haley Lazar, Kolby Eymann, Natasha Johnson, Joemae Santos, Allison King, Belen Aguirre (Gonzales,) Rachael Hawken, Kirby David, Amy Penner, Tyler Dill and Dylan Thompson.
