2015 Tahoe Rim Trail Challenge

The TRTA offers novice and seasoned hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians the Tahoe Rim Trail Challenge. The event is family-friendly. The TRTC program is great for all skill levels of trail users who are looking to take on six easy- to moderate- two to 13 mile sections, which are part of the larger 165-mile Tahoe Rim Trail system. The trail features wildflower infused meadows, rich historical sites, crystal blue alpine lakes and stunning vistas along the ridgetops of the Carson and Crystal ridges. Each participant has until Dec. 31 to complete each of the six challenge sites. Participants will have special web access to download six maps and trail descriptions, driving directions to each trailhead, a TRT Challenge tech T-shirt, a one-year membership to the Tahoe Rim Trail Association, invitation to special hikes and giveaways, as well as, an online tracking system to log completed challenge and share photos. The program fee of $55 for individuals and $85 for families includes a one-year membership to the TRTA. Existing TRTA members and additional family members can also enroll at the program fee rate of $20 per person. Learn more and enroll now at http://www.tahoerimtrail.org. The Tahoe Rim Trail Association will be hosting four more on-the-trail events this summer held in conjunction with the Tahoe Rim Trail Challenge. Join us for an upcoming “Where’s McLeod? Giveaway Day” held on select Saturdays at various TRT trailheads corresponding to the various challenge sites. These are free, family-friendly events.
