The Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe is gearing up for the upcoming Junior Giants season. Junior Giants is a program offered in association with the San Francisco Giants. The league is open to both members of the Boys & Girls Club and nonmembers. Prior baseball experience is not required. Junior Giants is a free, non-competitive baseball program for girls and boys ages 5 to 13 that teaches participants the values of teamwork, leadership, integrity and confidence. Each participant will receive a Junior Giants T-shirt and San Francisco Giants cap. Both experienced players as well as those who have never played are encouraged to join.

There will be three two-week sessions from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Al Tahoe baseball fields as follows:

Session 1: July 9-19 (T-Ball) ages 5, 6, 7.

Session 2: July 23-Aug. 3 (Baseball) ages 11, 12, 13

Session 3: Aug. 6-16 (Baseball) ages 8, 9, 10

The league will culminate with a barbecue and awards. Junior Giants team members will be invited to a Giants baseball game in San Francisco (parents/guardians provide transportation).
