The El Dorado Community Foundation has presented “Job Well Done” awards to six organizations in South Lake Tahoe.

The selected agencies each received $500 awards from the South Lake Tahoe Area Fund, which was created by thoughtful individuals who care a great deal for people in this part of the county.

It is a permanently endowed fund held at the Community Foundation that will benefit the residents of South Lake Tahoe for years to come. These six awards are the first that have been made from this fund.

This year, the awards focused on organizations whose programs support or enhance the educational enrichment opportunities for local children. The six award winners are:

— American Association of University Women Tech Trek Program.

— Elementary Arts Program.
