Ski Run Business Improvement District to market ‘On the Run’
Brian Des Rochers, President of the Ski Run Business Improvement District announced this week that the 2010 marketing plan for the district is being finalized. The BID will market the district and nearby area as “On the Run,” a destination site for Lake Tahoe locals and tourists.
Located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, On the Run offers shopping, restaurants, pedestrian friendly walking paths and outdoor recreation with Heavenly Ski Resort at the top the Ski Run Marina at the bottom.
In the coming months, tourists and locals alike can look forward to activities that will include music concerts, cultural arts festivals, a Farmer’s Market, and a variety of family-friendly outdoor and indoor events “On the Run.”
To kick off the marketing campaign, the Ski Run BID is promoting a logo contest for all amateur and professional artists, from fine arts to graphics, photography to computer generated, all will have the opportunity to win prizes for an “Ultimate Day on the Run” and have their design become the official logo of the Ski Run Business Improvement District. Prizes for the winner’s Ultimate Day on the Run have a retail value over $1,000.
Those interested in entering the logo contest may obtain the contest entry form and rules by sending an e-mail, calling or contacting the Des Rochers. All entries must arrive by May 14. Mail submissions to P.O. Box 16745 South Lake Tahoe, CA 9615, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Entries will be juried by members of the BID marketing committee. The winner will be notified no later than May 21.
