Ski Run parking to be discussed

A new parking management plan for the Ski Run Marina will be discussed at a joint South Lake Tahoe City Council and South Tahoe Redevelopment Agency meeting today at 6 p.m. The plan includes a number of parking strategies and a look at existing parking resources. The council will have to provide direction on how to best manage parking for both guests and employees of the marina during peak season.

The council will also discuss a Senate bill introduced by Sen. Dianne Feinstein that would designate national forest land managed by the U.S. Forest Service in the Lake Tahoe Basin as the Lake Tahoe National Scenic Forest and Recreation Area.

The meeting is at the City Council Chambers, 1900 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
