Skier killed at Northstar-at-Tahoe

CPR couldn’t save the life of a skier who died at Northstar-at-Tahoe after hitting a tree Sunday.

According to Placer County Sheriff’s Department reports, the skier, an Asian male whose identity had not been released at press time Sunday night, was skiing at the back side of the North Shore resort when he hit a tree. The accident occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m. Northstar-at-Tahoe reported that the victim was administered CPR and that there was a doctor on scene. The 46-year-old was pronounced dead a half-hour later.
