Slow Rollers’ eighth annual poker run today

Leslie David, Dan Nickles and Mark Cutright roll out a giant scrolling Best Wishes Card for Jaycee Lee at last Sunday's Dugard fundraiser event hosted by the Slow Riders Bicycle Club and Dory's Oar Restaurant. The card was signed by attendees and will be routed to the family.

The price is the same but the Slow Rollers’ eighth annual poker run and show ‘n’ shine has changed.

“There’s a couple of new twists in the ride to make it a little more exciting,” said organizer Mark Cutright. “There’s a wild card stop, but I can’t tell you any more than that.”

The bicycle-ride event begins at 1 p.m. today at the Tudor Pub. A $15 ticket includes a barbecue dinner. The poker winner wins a OM Flyer bicycle worth $850. Raffle prizes include a chrome Pabst Blue Ribbon barstool and a Pabst longboard skateboard.

There will be a big slow race and a longest skid contest.

The ride finishes back at the Tudor Pub.
