SLT booksale slated for Saturday

South Lake Tahoe Friends of the Library will present its annual used book sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 11 in the conference room at the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library, 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd.

A special preview will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. Aug. 10. The preview is free to Friends of the Library members and $5 for the general public. An opportunity to join Friends of the Library will be available at the event.

Hundreds of used books, audio cassettes, children’s books and tons of paperbacks will be for sale. Proceeds will benefit children’s programs at the library.



The event will include entertainment by the Dream Spirit Baroque Band from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The band features Celtic, Baroque and folk chamber music as well as songs and dances from around the world.
