SMG Tourism Conference at Lake Tahoe to return in 2012

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Following the the inaugural SMG Tourism, Technology + Marketing Workshop, the Strategic Marketing Group has announced the 2011 event will be held this October in South Lake Tahoe.

The SMG Tourism, Technology + Marketing Workshop will feature a host of online technology experts presenting on everything from mobile and location based services to what to consider when launching a paid search campaign.

“Technology has had such an impact on tourism marketing, and it’s imperative for destination marketing executives to understand this new landscape in order to develop more targeted marketing programs,” said Carl Ribaudo, president of SMG. “The SMG Tourism, Technology + Marketing workshop is intended to help marketers navigate through the assortment of technologies facing us today, and provide them with the online tools needed to positively impact their bottom line.”

Given the focus on the SMG Tourism, Technology + Marketing Workshop, the SMG’s Tourism Conference at Lake Tahoe, another event hosted by the group, will not be held in 2011, but will return in 2012.
