Snow day in South Lake Tahoe, Incline Village, Douglas County Friday

It’s another snow day for students in South Lake Tahoe and Incline Village Friday.

Lake Tahoe Unified School District on South Shore and Washoe County School District schools in Incline Village are closed Friday. All Douglas County School District schools — including those down in the valley — are closed Friday.

Lake Tahoe Community College in South Lake Tahoe also is closed.

“Lake Tahoe Community College will be closed on Friday March 2 due to a continuing winter storm that is dumping considerable amounts of snow both at the lake level and over mountain passes, making driving to campus potentially treacherous for students and staff,” Diane Lewis, marketing and communications director for LTCC.

Students are instructed to check with their individual instructors to ask about any required work or makeup classes for their courses.

A winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service for the Lake Tahoe region remains in effect until 10 a.m. Saturday.

This post will be updated when more closure information becomes available.
