Snowboarding photographers to show film tonight at LTCC

Provided to the Tribune

Tim Peare and Ian Ruhter have job descriptions that would appeal to many 20-somethings. Peare is a professional photographer for the Van’s Snowboarding team, and Ruhter is a professional photographer and senior editor of Trans World Snowboarding. Both are alumni of Lake Tahoe Community College.

The two will be at the LTCC Duke Theater Friday to show their snowboarding film, “Lucid Dreams,” and talk about emerging careers in digital arts and professional photography. Free pizza and soda will be available at 6 p.m. and the talk will begin at 7 p.m. There will also be a live band and giveaways from event sponsors, Vans, Heavenly, Transworld and future.

Both Peare and Ruhter are instructors at LTCC and there will be more information on LTCC’s digital arts and photography programs and winter courses. For more information call (530) 541-4660, ext. 230.
