Snowmobile group meets


The Lake Tahoe Snowmobile Association will meet Feb. 14 in the Timber Topper Room in the Timber House Restaurant at Lakeside Inn & Casino. Dinner off the menu will start at 6 p.m. and the meeting begins at 7:15 p.m. Prospective members and guests are welcome.

The club meets the second Thursday of each month October through April. After a short business agenda this months program will be Wayne Himmerlick of the California Highway Patrol, commercial section. He will speak about the requirements on chaining up vehicles and trailers. Dave Allessio, forest protection office for the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, will present a slide show on backcountry and avalanche dangers. As a special treat, a Valentine’s dessert will be served.
