Snowmobilers have opened Hope Valley

by J. Breylinger

To the editor:

As a rebuttal to the letter from Bill Cave concerning snowmobiling in Hope Valley dated Feb. 9, granted, many areas of the huge Hope Valley area have been shut down to snowmobiles. You will still see the smiling faces of many riders legally riding on and off the many miles of groomed trails and parking in the new Sno-Park, available to all winter users, partly due to the Lake Tahoe Snowmobile Association. Our club alone has more than 100 members and has assisted the Forest Service with nearly 200 volunteer hours clearing trails, etc., and expect to do more.
